The Art of Sword Swallowing

Here is the third and final part of ‘Do Not Try This’, A short three part documentary filmed in 2013 at Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! London. In this final part Johnny Strange demonstrates sword swallowing, talks us through one of his favourite swords and touches on the subject of the Guinness World Records that he holds.

Once again, we stress that Johnny Strange is a trained professional. Johnny Strange, Dan Meyer, SSAI and everyone involved with this project warn you NOT to attempt anything you have seen in this video. Any attempt in doing so could lead to serious injury or even death.You can read more about Ripleys Believe It Or Not! London over at;

Travel broadens the mind

“Art evokes the mystery without which the world would not exist.” – A few fantastic words of wisdom by Belgian surrealist painter, Rene Magritte (1898-1967), which means only one thing; I finally touched down in Belgium for the Belgian leg of the tour!

This is just a quick pit stop with only a few select private shows lined up, I couldn’t resist visiting one of the countries that has been on my ‘to-do list’ for so long now. As they say, “travel broadens the mind”, of course, how much it broadens your mind depends on how you travel rather than where you travel so I will be immersing myself within the Belgian culture as much as possible during my short stay here – you can see what I got upto over at my official Johnny strange Instagram page.
While here I had some great live photos shot by Marcus Crane Photography to be featured in Rocking Ink Magazine also my friend, and great photographer, Gordon Meuleman took some amazing photos for Tattoo Planet Magazine.

Vive la France

I’ve been having a blast performing in Strasbourg at The Wounded Carnivale, here is an amazing live photograph of me taken by the ever talented Nicolas Eschbach.

I performed two shows at The Wounded Carnival over the weekend and both recieved a fantastic reaction. A great line up with fantastic acts, a fantastic audience and of course fantastic music (with disks being spun by Vladimir Spoutnik) – I even found the time to visit the Notre Dame de Strasbourg and snap a few photos which can be seen on my Instagram page, over at my official Johnny Strange Instagram page

Next I’m working my way down to the South of France for my next set of shows. Vive la France!
