Johnny Strange recently teamed up with moto stunt rider, Vesko Lesev to perform a dangerous new stunt while in Brussels, Belgium, to mark the last leg of his current European tour.
Live at the International Brussels Tattoo Convention, Johnny Strange took his position in the centre of the infamous Globe of Death in front of a sea of eager spectators to debut a dangerous new stunt.
The Globe of Death is a moto stunt where motorcyclists ride in a spherical mesh ball looping both vertically and horizontally at speeds of over 40mph (70km/h). Lesev speeded his motorcycle around the globe riding just inches away from Johnny Strange as he swallowed a 17-inch (43cm) solid steel blade while standing inside the cramped 5 metre cage ball.
Next in the schedule Johnny Strange will be performing in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Brussels and Alkmaar – along with UK appearances in East Grinstead, Chatham, Blackpool, Dundee, Glasgow, Oxfordshire and Kent.
He will once again be gracing the stage at both The Brook Theatre for The Cabaret of Curiosities and The Fool n Angel for Adams Apple Cabaret. As well as a packed schedule of filming and photoshoots. Keep an eye on his Facebook Page for individual event dates & times, and if your in the area, come and catch a show and say hello!
This week Johnny Strange has been performing back over in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
While there he was sent over an Issue of Tattoo Planet Magazine (issue #88) that had published photos of Johnny Strange back in April while he was performing in Antwerp, Belgium.
Unfortunately time is short so Johnny didn’t stay for long and is almost ready to hit UK soil again, this time he will be on the Isle of Wight performing at the Apollo Theatre with The Blue Moon Revue who have put together a great line up featuring a whole host of international performers, award winners and the very best of the Isle of Wight’s talent. Featuring Violet Blaze, Tahlullah Manhattan, Quinny Sin, Griffin & Jones, Lily Elixir, Isabelle L’Amour, Hannah Brewer and host Alex Watts.

“Art evokes the mystery without which the world would not exist.” – A few fantastic words of wisdom by Belgian surrealist painter, Rene Magritte (1898-1967), which means only one thing; I finally touched down in Belgium for the Belgian leg of the tour!
This is just a quick pit stop with only a few select private shows lined up, I couldn’t resist visiting one of the countries that has been on my ‘to-do list’ for so long now. As they say, “travel broadens the mind”, of course, how much it broadens your mind depends on how you travel rather than where you travel so I will be immersing myself within the Belgian culture as much as possible during my short stay here – you can see what I got upto over at my official Johnny strange Instagram page.
While here I had some great live photos shot by Marcus Crane Photography to be featured in Rocking Ink Magazine also my friend, and great photographer, Gordon Meuleman took some amazing photos for Tattoo Planet Magazine.
Johnny Strange’s 2014 European tour is fast approaching and so far confirmed countries include the UK, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Austria and Sweden with more events being added daily, usually being first announced on the Johnny Strange official Facebook page, so if you havent done already Like & Share the page with your friends and keep your eyes peeled.
