This Halloween season Johnny Strange is bringing back his Fright Night Freakshow to Cursed, Essex’s number 1 scare attraction.
For 9 nights, Wat Tyler Country Park will be transformed into a adrenaline fuelled award-winnging Halloween fright night experience for the fifth year running. The Fright Night Freakshow will be home to sword swallowers, snake charmers, contortionists, knife throwers, fire eaters and pain proof fakirs.
Holding host to some the finest sideshow performers from around the world this event is not one to be missed, so, step inside the tent and be transported straight back to the 1800’s and the heyday of the freakshow.
A brand new tattoo convention for 2017, the Cornwall Tattoo Convention was held at the picturesque Penryn University campus and boasted an impressive main stage, and outdoor stage, a separate convention hall as well as a whole host of outdoor food options. Johnny Strange and The Dolls UK were part of a line up consisting of live tattooing, music and graffiti workshops which proved to be a weekend to remember.
Back for the 4th year at Tat Con Blackpool, Johnny Strange brought some of his performer friends to create a sideshow by the seashore. Fire eaters, a contortionist, the pain-proof man, Madam Electra and her electric chair, burlesque performers, stilt walkers, a face painter, a walkabout magician and more.
Once again, held at Norbreck Castle on Queen’s Promenade this year featured live music from Sin Circus, Montagu, Eye The Bomb and Daybreaker.
The Theatre of Wonder headed over to the Liverpool Tattoo Convention this year, bringing all kinds of weird and wacky stunts with them.
Johnny Strange was back at the Liverpool Tattoo Convention this year and this time he brought some friends. Eve Elle brought her bed of nails and ladder of swords, Charlie & Rachel Atlas performed their death defying knife throwing routine, Bloody Bones brought his unique flavour of humour to the stage along with his mouse trap of doom, and the Fuel Girls heated things up with a host of cosplay themed fire stunts.

For October, Wat Tyler Country Park’s 125 acres of stunning parkland in the heart of the south Essex marshes, was transformed into a adrenaline fuelled award-winnging Halloween fright night experience for the fifth year running.
Attractions such as Toy Sop, Pig Pen, Arachnid, Cell 13, The Nag Inn, FestEvil and WorkChop are back by popular demand with the newest attraction, Amphi-Fear-ter, being added as the newest attraction to line up; a full carnival freak show experience with sword swallowers, contortionists, fire eaters and more.
