The second instalment of Johnny Strange’s appearances on Guinness World Records’ Facebook Live saw him attempting two more records.
Johnny attempted the record for “The most newspapers split using a bullwhip in one minute” and the record for “Most swords swallowed in 3 minutes”.
Johnny achieved two out of two by successfully splitting 16 newspapers with a bullwhip, held by Facebook Live host Paul “Pee Wee” Wiggins, and by swallowing a 21” blade a whopping 16 times in three minutes!
The Facebook Live broadcast had over 190,000 viewers and Johnny answered many questions in the ‘Ask Me Anything’ Q&A session. Johnny Strange spent the weekend in Ireland performing at the Galway Tattoo Show. The show brought together some of the world’s best international tattoo artists and some of Ireland’s best tattoo talent.
As well as Johnny Strange’s comedy/ daredevil show the event also featured walkabout entertainment, live music, an art gallery, body painting, a tattoo cinema, photo booths, market stalls and traders.
Fresh back from Cezanne, France, Johnny Strange has just finished performing at the 2016 Cezanne Tattoo Convention AKA Convention Tattoo Aix.
Between performing stunts such as fire eating, whip cracking and hammering nails into his face he managed to catch up with l’Homme Tatoué, The Tattooed man, Pascal Tourain and The American Hustler, Richie Bulldog.

“Art evokes the mystery without which the world would not exist.” – A few fantastic words of wisdom by Belgian surrealist painter, Rene Magritte (1898-1967), which means only one thing; I finally touched down in Belgium for the Belgian leg of the tour!
This is just a quick pit stop with only a few select private shows lined up, I couldn’t resist visiting one of the countries that has been on my ‘to-do list’ for so long now. As they say, “travel broadens the mind”, of course, how much it broadens your mind depends on how you travel rather than where you travel so I will be immersing myself within the Belgian culture as much as possible during my short stay here – you can see what I got upto over at my official Johnny strange Instagram page.
While here I had some great live photos shot by Marcus Crane Photography to be featured in Rocking Ink Magazine also my friend, and great photographer, Gordon Meuleman took some amazing photos for Tattoo Planet Magazine.
