Double trouble Guinness World Record breaking duo head to Spain for the first Benidorm Tattoo Convention.
Johnny Strange, “the man with ears of steel” and Elaine Davidson, “The most pierced woman in history”, flew out to sunny Spain to show off their Guinness World Record breaking piercings. Johnny Strange is known for lifting heavy weights and pulling vehicles with his ear piercings while Eline Davidson is known for being the most pierced woman in the world. Incase you are wondering, Elaine currently has over 11,000 piercings covering her face, arms, legs, chest and back and is the undisputed Guinness World Record holder for the “most pierced woman”.
A great weekend was had by all, with people enjoying everything from live bands to body painters, burlesque performers to fashion shows.
The second instalment of Johnny Strange’s appearances on Guinness World Records’ Facebook Live saw him attempting two more records.
Johnny attempted the record for “The most newspapers split using a bullwhip in one minute” and the record for “Most swords swallowed in 3 minutes”.
Johnny achieved two out of two by successfully splitting 16 newspapers with a bullwhip, held by Facebook Live host Paul “Pee Wee” Wiggins, and by swallowing a 21” blade a whopping 16 times in three minutes!
The Facebook Live broadcast had over 190,000 viewers and Johnny answered many questions in the ‘Ask Me Anything’ Q&A session. Johnny Strange spent the weekend in Ireland performing at the Galway Tattoo Show. The show brought together some of the world’s best international tattoo artists and some of Ireland’s best tattoo talent.
As well as Johnny Strange’s comedy/ daredevil show the event also featured walkabout entertainment, live music, an art gallery, body painting, a tattoo cinema, photo booths, market stalls and traders.
This month the new Guinness Book is out, the Guinness Book of Records 2017 twinned with the 2017 Gamers Edition, and once again, for the third year running Johnny Strange’s weird and wonderful stunts have been featured on it’s pages.
The book features some of Johnny’s chainsaw and ‘ears of steel’ Guinness World Records, check them out in the “Don’t Try This At Home, Performers” section of the book.
One of the stunts featured is Johnny’s eye watering, ear stretching, mind over matter feat of endurance. Johnny set the Guinness World Record for “The heaviest weight pulled by pierced ears” when he managed to drag a Cessna 172-P aircraft weighing in at a staggering 0.68 tonnes (677.8kg, 1,494.3lbs).

Johnny Strange has just come back from Budapest, Hungary, with Eve Elle were they performed a series of shows with the Theatre of Wonder at Lurdy Haz.
Over the weekend the duo performed an alternative form of Valentines Day entertainment for attendees of the 6th International Budapest Tattoo Convention, the largest one to date.
This show also marked Johnny Strange’s 4th performance at the convention in as many years, and once again proved
to be an audience favourite.

Johnny spent the weekend performing for a select group of lucky competition winners at the Wychwood Brewery’s “Hobgoblin Legendary Feast”.
Joined by the Hobgoblin himself Johnny performed a selection of whip cracking, sword swallowing, chain escaping entertainment – he even found time to lift a beer keg of one of their fine ales using his famous ‘ears of steel’.
The ale of choice was a keg of Hobgoblin’s Ruby beer, which collected a prestigious gold medal last week at the International Brewing and Cider Awards 2015. Up against brewers and cider makers from all over the world Wychwood head brewer, Jeff Drew, collected the gold.
Back to back from France Johnny flew over to Hungary for a pit stop where he appeared on the largest commercial television channel in Hungary, TV2.
Here he spoke about some of the bizarre and unusual things he is able to do with his body such as swallowing stainless steel swords to the bottom of his stomach and lifting heavy weights using his super strong pierced ear lobes. Johnny was back in Budapest performing at Lurdy ház, Exhibition halls for the second year running.

In 2013 Johnny Strange set the world’s first official Guinness World Record for ‘The heaviest weight lifted by pierced ears’.
Johnny managed to lift a 14.9kg (32lb, 13.5oz) cast iron weight attached to carabiners hooked through the piercings in his ears, this staggering feat earned him entry into the 2015 Guinness Book Of Records, you can see his record pictured in the ’Show of Strength’ section of the book (page 104).
Johnny has been nicknamed “the man with ears of steel” after his flesh proved strong enough not to tear under the extreme force applied from the weights.
