Johnny Strange recently got up close and personal with a chainsaw on Dutch TV show, Wedden Dat Ik Het Kan.
Johnny Strange was invited to perform on SBS6’s TV show Wedden Dat Ik Het Kan, the Dutch version of TV show “Go For It!” (UK) and “Challenge Me!” (USA). Strange teamed up with hosts Sylvie Meis and Jeroen van der Boom to perform a variation of one of his death defying stunts with a chainsaw.
Against the clock he had to chainsaw as many apples out of his mouth in just one minute, this dare devil challenge was featured in the 3rd season of the show.
Last year Johnny Strange took part in a documentary on sword swallowing.
The documentary, filmed by the Russian TV show Hayka 2.0 (which roughly translates into Science 2.0) was filmed at the largest Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! museum in the world, Ripley’s, London. It covered all aspects of sword swallowing including technique, weaponry, and health and safety – with interviews from leading experts in the field, including weapons experts, doctors and of course, Johnny Strange.
The second instalment of Johnny Strange’s appearances on Guinness World Records’ Facebook Live saw him attempting two more records.
Johnny attempted the record for “The most newspapers split using a bullwhip in one minute” and the record for “Most swords swallowed in 3 minutes”.
Johnny achieved two out of two by successfully splitting 16 newspapers with a bullwhip, held by Facebook Live host Paul “Pee Wee” Wiggins, and by swallowing a 21” blade a whopping 16 times in three minutes!
The Facebook Live broadcast had over 190,000 viewers and Johnny answered many questions in the ‘Ask Me Anything’ Q&A session.
